Tonight, I'm watching Mel Brooks' "Blazing Saddles"
When a gang of bandits ransack the peaceful town of Rockridge, a corrupt politician hires a black sheriff in hopes of driving everyone out of the racist white town so that he may construct a railroad through it. Little does he know that the suave Black Bart plans to win the town over by defeating his brutes one by one with wits rather than fists and manages to bring the town together in spite of their close-mindedness.
I know that sounds like a Hallmark card. I promise it's about 200 times more fun.
I don't know why Hollywood can't crank out more comedies like this one. Mel Brooks knows how to deliver laughs to everyone (even if some of the jokes are a little politically incorrect sometimes) - I can't remember the last comedy in the last ten years that hasn't just been completely full of penis jokes and "that's what she said" groaners. Sure, Mel Brooks has plenty of sexual humor but guys, this one is just more tasteful and funnier.
1975 brings 1875 back in the magic only Hollywood can produce. Enough said.

Classic funny Hollywood movie. Where else can you laugh at a horse getting sucker-punched? (No, PETA friends...no actual horses were harmed during the filming....)
